Scientia Beauty

Scientia Beauty [See-en-cha],

was founded by self-confessed beauty junkie, Tiffany. After spending almost 15 years at the helm of her family's cosmetics business, Tiffany decided it was time to share the secrets she learnt.

Tired of innovative skincare not being accessible, too expensive and confusing, Tiff wanted to create a skincare experience that's ahead of the trend, easy to use and that actually works. After not finding what she wanted on the market, she decided to create it herself!

Regularly travelling the world to source the best in beauty innovation, Scientia is about sharing knowledge, helping make you the expert in your own story. The brand strongly believes that beauty should make you FEEL good, not just look good.

All products are made for the skin and mind too, giving us the chance to sit, breathe, savour and enjoy the products. And Tiff knows the way to our hearts because the products are thoughtfully created to be worthy of your face and bathroom shelf (did someone say shelfie?)

I was kindly sent their new Dawn and Dusk Elixir Face Oils: Made for your skin, good for your mind. Both oils were packaged incredibly and it took me a good few weeks to find the guts to throw the packaging away. The thought and innovation that has gone into these products really shows.

Every little detail was stunning, from the product packaging together creating a globe with "Scientia makes the world glow round", to the lightly engraved 4 values on each bottle, Dawn: rebalance, revitalise, rejuvenate and renew and Dusk: regenerate, rewind, replenish and restore, to the inner lid design of the packaging. There is so much I could say on the packaging, but let's get down to the good stuff!

In my PR package, there was also a Scientia Beauty brand booklet. It was so good to get this with the products so that I was able to read into the story and curation of the oils before trying them. It was super interesting to read about the travels and values of Scientia Beauty and I can't wait for them to release more products.

The Dawn ElixiR, "your daily dose of glow"

Wake up with the Scientia Dawn Elixir, a unique blend of 23 oils from around the world and packed with vitamins, antioxidants and fatty acids to help hydrate tired skin, boost radiance, banish dullness and balance our natural oil production (something super important when incorporating oil products into every-day skin routines!).

Not just a dose of magic for the skin, but the Dawn Elixir was formulated for its aromatherapy benefits too: Fennel is said to give courage and confidence, Pink Pepper Seed helps to invigorate the mind and Ginger is known for its energising properties.

The Dusk Elixir, "I'll soothe you to (beauty) Sleep"

It's time to let the Scientia Dusk Elixir soothe you to (beauty) sleep. Plump tired skin with hydration and help support natural repair and recovery while you snooze, leaving the skin replenished and regenerated when you wake up. Teaming with essential fatty acids, omegas, amazing antioxidants and don't forget Bakuchiol (a natural retinol alternative), the Dusk Elixir has been formulated to help boost collagen production and protect skin from external aggressors.

Also designed to give added aromatherapy benefits, forget counting sheep and let dream-inducing notes of Lavender, Ylang Ylang and Frankincense unwind your mind.

--------

After using both the Dawn and Dusk Elixir for 2 weeks now, I can safely say that they are as good as they look. The smells of each product are incredible and really helps to emphasise what they're trying to do (revive and relax!). I usually get worried with oils leaving lots of residue on the skin, but the formula really absorbs well into my face, leaving my skin soft and velvety. And of course, they're the prettiest bottles on my shelf.

Since using both more regularly, I think I'm slightly leaning more towards the Dusk Face Oil. I'm a lover of sleep so don't give myself much time to get ready in the mornings. I will sometimes (only sometimes, don't shout at me), will I skip both skincare and makeup. Purely because my nighttime routine is more structured and I looooooove getting into bed with Lavendar scents following me, the Dusk has been incorporated that bit more often.

The aromatherapy benefits have been really interesting to learn about and I'm excited to take my new knowledge through the rest of my skincare journey. The brand booklet included a small section on "Can your nose really change your mind?", breaking down how scent and emotion are tightly intertwined. With different scents triggering different emotions, it shows how you can use essential oils to positively affect your mood.
